Believing that all persons have the capacity to care, to communicate and to dedicate themselves to commitments of their own choosing, the Counseling Center's staff and programs are ready to assist with the personal and academic development of University of Louisville students. Acquiring academic skills, learning how to better communicate, or strengthening an existing relationship are common outcomes at the Counseling Center.  At the same time, a visit to the Counseling Center could really be a step in the right direction when dealing with the increased frustration, tension or confusion brought about by today's rapidly changing world.  Sometimes one just might have a vague feeling that things are not going as they should.  In any case, talking with a professional counselor -- a trained listener -- can be helpful.
